What's yours?

Every day I wake up in the dark, start my 1st session and then go to work. My recovery consists of a 9hr window of seeing clients, running around, trying to balance budgets and answer questions. Don't get me wrong- I am not complaining. I love my job and wouldn't want it any other way-EVER.
If I have another workout to do, that happens after work in that window where you would most likely be rather chillin on the couch then nailing some interval somewhere. But like you, I really thrive on pushing myself and seeing how far, fast, better, stronger, fitter, I can get and never pass up the opportunity to give it another go.
My recovery isn't optimal but it is what it is. And I'm not complaining.
What is yours?

  1. My recovery consists of chasing a two year old princess. ;) Perfect, no?

  2. Yep, same exact thing here! It's funny that it seems so normal to me and most of my friends. I just moved home with my mom and I am up before her either swimming, cycling (in my room on the trainer) or out running. And when she gets home I am either cycling on my trainer or doing functional strength work in my room. My little room is also my gym! :) I don't think she realized how much I actually do until now and she thought I did a lot before. Don't you feel powerful that you can get all that done in your day and better your body and mind? Sure we walk around like zombies a little too often, but it's only because we pushed our bodies hard.
